Honouring the Mother

In today’s western cultures, we are expected to climb back onboard the train departing at x o’clock so quickly.  Having a baby is draining, exhausting, exhilarating and feels like you are on a rollercoaster that slows and speeds up  with very few opportunities to actually stop, climb off, let the rest of the world carry on … how does stepping away just for a day sound?   … yes 1 day!

You so deserve this time to reconnect to yourself … a day of creativity, reconnection through specific postpartum yoga, connecting with others with little ones and just having the space held around you so that you feel safe to explore your feelings and start to rebalance after the life changing experience of birthing a baby.

Your JOURNEY toward motherhood began the moment you even thought about wanting to have a baby … arriving earth side your focus changes … this day is just for you to come and gently reconnect to you.

Do you feel the call to come along …. this day creates much needed space to start talking about important issues coming up for you.  The 1 day retreat is for new mums and nursing babies/babies in arms

During the day you will journey through an array of emotions whist being gently held to reflect on your journey.

A variety of topics/issues are explored such as sexuality, fears about labor, becoming a mother, courage, rites of passage, adornment, body image, meditation, and sisterhood to name a few. Mothers-to-be are invited to look deeply at the issues unique to their journey and find a centered, peaceful place to live fully.  The day encourages you to record your birth story and to gently dive in and explore it and to start the gentle healing journey.
