These wonderful days are focused on sharing and nurturing those who work with clients in
various settings … yoga teachers, holistic practitioners, midwives, doulas, anyone who works with pregnant mamas and their partners …
The first of our sharing & nurturing days is on Saturday 17th September from 09:30 – 16:00
The second which fits beautifully with this is the Closing the Bones day which will; be on the 18th September from 10:00 – 16:30 … if you would like to come along to both days you are welcome to book both days and receive a 10% discount. See below.
Rebozo – A day of sharing and nurturing
A gorgeous day sharing & nurturing each other using the cloth. Open to anyone working with clients who they feel would benefit from the gentle art of the rebozo … come and find out how it helps foster relaxation, comfort and strength, how it can be used on anyone including pregnant mamas and their partners.
This day would be wonderful for those who are yoga teachers, holistic practitioners, midwives, doulas and those working with pregnant mamas and their partners … it’s a day to come and share and be nourished and nurtured.
What will be covered:
Why a piece of cloth?
Traditional names for the cloth … cultural uses …
Working with babies, children, adults (non-pregnant), pregnant mamas, postnatal mamas … how this can be incorporated into your current practices … as a yoga teacher, holistic practitioner. How you could use these techniques when working with clients – hypnotherapy, massage, midwives, doulas, body workers etc
Drawing on 14 years experience of serving, nourishing & nurturing my clients (babies, children and adults (pregnant and non-pregnant) and also drawing on training that I have undertaken from others this day will hopefully help you to feel confident when using the cloth and also to explore how it will support your work and your clients … (when using these skills on your clients please ensure you are fully insured and certified) … this is not a training to become an instructor … this is for educational purposes only.
6 spaces available
£65 per head includes refreshments & lunch
Booking both the Rebozo and Closing of the Bones sharing days
What is your training to offer these sharing days?
I have over 22 years educational experience teaching a variety of subjects (all key stages and adult education) plus my own life experiences which I draw on in my classes and courses.
I started yoga at the age of 10 … and have over the years come back and forth to this wonderful practice. When I was pregnant with both babies I found yoga very beneficial and in times of need I have delved deep … today it is a constant of my day … I love it … Over the last 14 years I have had the most amazing experiences supporting more than 800 families through my work in private one to one classes, group classes (both in Surestart Centres, and through private venues) and feel very blessed that families have chosen me to support them at precious times in their lives.

Will I be certified to use this on my clients? Will I need to get insurance even though I am not a massage therapist.
This will depend on your area of work, what your specialism is.
This is a sharing day so there is a certificate of attendance. I am looking at applying for CThA approval for both days.
This is an opportunity to share skills with doulas, yoga teachers, birth workers, body workers, hypnotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths etc This is an opportunity to pass on skills whilst nurturing one another … everyone is welcome …
